I’ve just uploaded the remainder of Chapter 007. I’ve only just barely started on Chapter 008.

My chronology is shot all to hell. I have no idea what’s supposed to be happening simultaneously, nor what my overall timeline is. I’ve not had this problem before, but then I’ve also never tried to keep track of so many individual characters at once. At least I’ve kept them out of Norway, for the time being. But I can fix it later. I suppose this is what first drafts are for.

I’ve just posted more of Chapter 007. Not nearly done, but here it is anyway. I’ll have more tomorrow.

I’ve just posted the rest of Chapter 006 and the beginning of Chapter 007. I’m realizing I already need to go back and rearrange some of my chronology here…. The action in Chapter 006 should be moved up earlier in the draft. But that’s what second and third drafts are for. This is just the first one. “Fix it in post.”

I didn’t write as much as I’d hoped today and so am not as far along as I’d like, but I’m still ahead of the curve, currently on track to finish 27 November (3 days before the deadline).

I’ve just uploaded the remainder of Saturday’s progress — the completion of Chapter 005 as well as the beginning of Chapter 006.

I’ve just posted the current state of Chapter 005. Didn’t write on Friday, my second day off from NaNoWriMo already. This is the first year that I’ve been in a relationship during NaNo. It’s not as problematic as I’d feared, but there are still adjustments that can be made.

I have a good bit of writing left to do today, to bring up my word count. But for now, I need a shower and then am meeting some “Viking experts” for lunch to talk about this current project.

I’ve updated Chapter 004, having finally completed this chapter. I still have some elements I’d like to go back and add to this chapter, but the rough sketch of it is complete — which is what first drafts are for. Besides, it was beginning to feel like I’d never get outside that family meeting in Odin’s living room!

I’ve started on Chapter 005, and will post this material once there’s more of it.

I did not do any NaNo writing yesterday, as I was wrapped up in the presidential and other races. Today I had some catching up to do.

I’ve just posted the current incarnation of Chapter 004. It’s already a good long chapter and still has a ways to go yet. I expect I’ll round that out on Thursday.

I’ve just re-posted Chapter 003 with a good bit of new material from today’s writing. I have started in on Chapter 004 but am refraining from posting it just now, because I’m only 275 words deep. I’ll do more work on 004 tomorrow and will post that text when it’s available.

I’ve posted entries for Chapters 002 and 003. I’m up to 5271 words now in this year’s NaNoWriMo, just over 10% done on the 50,000-word goal by 30 November. Not bad for the first weekend.
